MEET YOUR HOST

Founder of The Fusebox and adopted Yorkshire Rican (a Puerto Rican living in Yorkshire, England), Lillian’s early career was spent on Madison Avenue where she implemented sales and marketing strategies for Fortune 100 companies. During this period she became increasingly interested in the science of buying behaviour and the impact of social cognition on the sales process.

In the late ’90s she founded The Fusebox and continued to apply her buyer-driven thinking but now with a specific focus on helping sales professionals achieve sales success without compromising their mental fitness.

Lillian’s focus for the last decade has been on identifying the types of cultures, processes, and systems that can either exacerbate and/or trigger mental distress in various forms within the sales environment. 

To further support her focus on mental fitness in sales, Lillian:

  • Is currently completing an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King's College London. Her dissertation will focus on the sales function within organisations in the context of brain health and specifically explore existing organisational interventions to determine their effectiveness. 

  • Organises the Mental Health in Sales research programme, the largest ever study into mental health in the sales profession. Now entering its third year the survey is helping drive evidence-based preventative measures that will support mental fitness and business growth simultaneously. 

  • Hosts The HEALTHY Sales Summit, an annual online conference where she interviews subject matter experts, psychologists, neuroscientists, researchers and neurotech specialists as well as sales leaders from various industries. The goal is to show a global audience of salespeople, HR professionals and sales leaders how they can drive systemic change in the workplace through a healthier approach to sales.
